Motor Skills

Motor skills are related to the muscles in charge of the functions our bodies perform. There are two types of motor skills: gross motor skills and fine motor skills. Gross motor skills are related to the less delicate functions such as sitting, crawling, walking and more. Fine motor skills are related to the hand, palm and finger muscles as well as to the muscles surrounding the mouth and eyes. As baby grows, it is important to ensure that these motor skills develop in sync with emotional and physical maturity.
