Language and other forms of communication enable us to share our ideas, thoughts and feelings. Your newborn’s only means of communication when she is just born is crying, welcome to the very first stage in language development – the “crying stage“. This will soon change to the adorable “cooing” stage and to slowly building the foundations of speech. It is a journey of growth and development and you will doubtless enjoy hearing her prattle away in a symphony rich with vowels and consonants as she gradually understand the meaning of different words and sounds.
