Here is a list of 10 things to do before baby is born. From preparing the nursery to enjoying a final pre-child vacation, these are the pre-baby must-dos!
Falling pregnant and having children is one of the most transformational times you will experience in your life. You go from being a relatively free and independent woman, to a rapidly changing body, followed nine months later by a baby dependent on you for its very survival. Life becomes very different, albeit rewarding, after having children. So before baby is born, make sure you get the most out of your life and the relative peace and quiet of pregnancy. Here is a list of 10 things you must do before baby is born.
Preparing baby’s nursery
Once baby is born you are not going to have much time for anything. Make sure your baby’s nursery is complete and easy to navigate, as you will be spending a lot of time there caring for your baby. A prepared and well organized nursery will make your life much easier!Catch plenty of movies
Watching movies may become a favorite past time when your newborn arrives. So make sure to get plenty in before the arrival date.
Date nights with your hubby
It’s no secret that things change when kids arrive on the scene. So make sure to reaffirm your connection and love for your husband by spending some quality time together.
Finding a baby advisor
Being a first time mom can be scary, as everything is so new to you. It’s a good idea to nominate a friend, who is a parent, to become your trusted baby advisor to be called upon at anytime for all baby-related dilemmas.
Taking time out
Once baby comes you’re going to find it very difficult to get time alone, let alone do your favorite things such as sipping coffee at your local café, reading books, or window-shopping at the mall. Make sure you get plenty of such activities in before baby arrives.Be lazy!
Spend the day in bed watching TV, reading magazines and eating whatever your heart desires. No one needs you right now so enjoy indulging yourself!
Girls’ night
After kids come on the scene, maintaining friendships can become challenging. What’s even more difficult is to get the group altogether with everyone’s busy schedules. Plan a wonderful day or evening together engaging in some activities that everyone could enjoy, like pottery, gourmet cooking, a dancing class or anything else you can think of.
Head to a concert
Go check out your favorite band before baby arrives; just make sure you stay away from the mosh pits !
Feel sexy
Sexy maternity lingerie exists, so go out and buy yourself something and enjoy an intimate evening in with your hubby and your bump.
Travel
If you can’t make it overseas, plan a weekend away with your partner somewhere closer to home. Enjoy being together, just the two of you.
